I graduated in Illustration from the University of Brighton in 2000 and in January 2008 I completed the MA in children's book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.
I live in Essex by the sea and enjoy watching the birds in my garden, seeing the glow over Canvey and eating Rossi's ice cream.
My work is inspired by the people I see around me, the books I borrow from the stack in Southend Library and the costume dramas I watch on TV. I am influenced by folk art, old illustrated children's books and a host of artists including Henryk Tomaszewski, Goya, and Utamaro.
